This piece by Mike Hinge is an early American advertising piece and I am guessing it is from around about 1966. The illustration is in two parts; the tracing paper with the outline of the image and a gouache painting of the image on illustration board. I have photographed each piece separate with the last image being the two pieces together to make the finished image.

This artwork is very similar to an image that featured in a story called "Object" written and illustrated by Mike Hinge published in "Heavy Metal" Sept/1982.
